Decorating Cupcakes

Ok, so this is not a recipe. Frankly I can never be bothered making cupcake/cake recipes from scratch. I like to cook savoury, but I do love to decorate. Often I get commended for how creative I am with cakes etc. 
So I thought I would do a little display and notes on how I have created these.
Please bear in mind, these are my very first attempt at using my new decorating tools. 
Obviously as I get better, so will the results!
Also, never using mini cupcakes to decorate again!! 

So the chocolate icing I used was crap! I decided to try out the stuff that came with the box, it definitely wasn't firm enough - I should have added more icing mixture to it, or just scrapped it completely and went with a chocolate butter cream icing like the others!

Anyway, we have nests with eggs (was trying different ways of weaving the nests), an easter basket (which needed a much bigger cupcake to work with), a cherry pie (just cos it's cute - I know it has nothing to do with easter) and some grass with eggs/bunny in them.

 I also made the chocolate bunny in the middle - I will post a few pics of how I did him.
